My stepdaughter was here visiting us for 12 days so the whole family went to St-Sauveur for a week. It rained just about everyday but we did manage to have a good time anyway. Here are a few photos from her visit and our vacation.

Tips, Tricks, and Challenges. Challenge #3
For this challange we had to shoot a rural scene, an urban scene and a shot you would put in a tourist guide for your region. The bonus for this challange is a statue.
Statue of Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve, founder of Montreal.
I don't really have any great tips but trying to remember the rule of thirds when shooting scenery has helped me alot.
This is a rural shot from Vignoble de l'Orpailleur, a winerie about 30 min. from my house.
I have two tourist guide shots. I took these a while back but thought they were appropriate for this challange. I took these in the Old Port of Montreal where I work. I can always find something to shoot during my lunch breaks.

Family Reunion
Patrick's annual family reunion was on Saturday. Unlike the past two years it was a beautiful hot day and we were there until the wee hours of the morning. Chloe made a new friend, Marie-Claude, who is about 5 or 6 years older than she is. She followed that poor girl around the whole day. At one point she lost her and came to me crying. Together we went in search of her new friend and when we found her Chloe made me stop so that she could wipe her face on my shirt. She did not want her new friend to think she was a baby because she had been crying. It was like being hit by a Mack truck because it showed me exactly how much she has grown up. It seem she finds a way to break my heart every day. I love that kid so much!
